This is a real delight. Tucked behind the Catholic cathedral, an old chalk pit was converted to a garden in the victoriana era. Quirky and fun to wander around and discover the individual character of this garden.

Beautiful gardens, quiet and tranquil. Excellent tea and cakes on Sundays throughout the summer too. Worth a visit for locals and tourists alike.

Lovely tranquil green spec with interesting
follies. I visited in the summer on a lovely sunny Sunday when there was music and home made cake on offer was well.
